Girl Bands

Como ustedes sabrán (y si no se van enterando) dos de los géneros que han permanecido más en mis playlists son el synthpop y el indie rock tirándole a rock pop (en cuanto al sonido, porque si nos vamos contra la definición del concepto los dos son completamente opuestos), y si tienen vocalistas mujeres mejor. Aprovecho esta entrada para brevemente presentar dos bandas que creo hacen justicia a una mezcla de estos géneros.

• The Sounds

Ya quería dedicarle una entrada a esta banda pero el tiempo no me lo permitía. Este es un grupo Sueco cuya vocalista se dice la nueva Blondie. No es que la menosprecie pero creo que sus estilos son muy diferentes, aunque sí tiene el potencial de llegar muy lejos. La banda cuenta con un tecladista que le da un toque electrónico a algunas de sus canciones. Les dejo mi canción favorita de este grupo y la letra:

Esta es cortesía de Mawicha y practicamente los conozco desde hoy, pero su canción 'Stripper' me encantó. Tiene toda la energía del synthpop unido a un strum de la guitarra bastante bueno, pegajoso y... sexy. Aparentemente la canción esta de Stripper sale en un capítulo de Gossip Girl, no lo había notado.

En fin, como muestra les dejo el video y la letra como siempre.
